White Picket Fences

They say the American Dream

Cause it really is a dream.

A dream I once dreamt.

No reality to come to be.

It's an illusion,

A trick to play on the eyes

Cause it's something that can't be.

White picket fences,

A beautiful home,

A stable high paying job,

Marriage with kids

Just like imagined

But an image that can't be

At least one I can't see

This American Dream

These white picket fences
